The Next Door Neighbors: Childhood Dream

When I was a little girl, one of my fondest memories was about an older couple that lived next door to us. In Between our properties there was a row of small bush-like trees. When we’d get up in the morning and look out the window, we would see a sucker and candy covered tree. We’d be so excited and we’d run outside and pick the tree clean. We called this our “sucker tree”. Of course, we thought this was magic.

When I got older I realized that the neighbors had done the “magic as a surprise for us kids. And I am completely sure that they always watched the frenzy for their window”!
